The 71st day of #WalkForever training is FINALLY here!!! ğŸƒâ€â™‚️

Hey y’all! So, this training day has been long overdue and was perhaps one of the most challenging! My sleeping schedule is so warped lately. I usually get up extremely early to prepare for the walk, but I woke up at 10 in the evening. I decided it was pointless to go back to sleep and proceeded with preparation. I officially started the walk a few minutes before 4 in the morning. The first 10 miles was kicked of with, “World Away” by Tonight Alive. It was 61 degrees at the time. I walked up 17 hills and had an average pace of 12.35. The second 10 miles was kicked off with, “Incomplete” by Backstreet Boys. The temperature was still 61 degrees. I walked up a total of 10 hills during this set. I had an average pace of 12.47. Now, this is where the walk started getting challenging and would continue into the next set. The third 10 miles was kicked off with, “Stranded” by Plumb. I walked up a total of 12 hills during this set. The temperature was now 68 degrees. My average pace was now 12.57. I think this is where my foot started to ache. I had to keep reminding myself that I haven’t done this is a couple of weeks, so my lower body is somewhat out of sync. I was determined to get this training day over with, despite the discomfort. The final 10 miles, however, was where certain things were becoming unbearable. I kept reminding myself that I only had a few miles to go, but my legs were not cooperating. I decided to pause the walk at 35 miles and finish in the morning. MY LEGS HURT SO BAD WHEN I FINALLY HAD A CHANCE TO SIT DOWN! I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, when it comes to doing this type of fitness it is not wise to go too long without practice. Monday morning was where I finally completed my 71st day of #WalkForever training. I am thankful it is behind me. (Lol) I am also thankful that springtime is almost here. All of this pain just means I need to continue practicing. I apologize for this post being late, y’all. (I am typing this post at my job because I didn’t want it to be later than it already was.)
