The 67th day of #WalkForever training! The 6th 40 mile walk! 🏃‍♂️

Hey, y’all! It has been a long week! I feel much better than I did last Sunday. It felt good to do this 40 #WalkForever mile walk. Since the weather is still on the cold side, I waited until after 8 in the morning before starting. The first 10 miles was kicked off with, “Chemicals” by Normandie! It was 37 degrees at the time. I had an average pace of 12.30. I walked up a total of 16 hills! This is random but I found a nice North Carolina themed hat on the ground! (You’d be surprised at all the stuff I find on my walks!) The second 10 miles was kicked off with, “Back Here” by BBMAK. The temperature was 52 degrees at the time. I had an average pace of 12.49. I walked up a total of 11 hills! The third 10 miles was kicked off with, “Scream” by Adelita’s Way. The temperature was 61 degrees at the time. I had an average pace of 12.54. I walked up a total of 10 hills! During this set, I decided to walk to the nearest Starbucks. (I REALLY wanted a Toasted White Mocha.) To my surprise, the mocha actually give me a nice boost for the next few miles! Yum! The final 10 miles was kicked off with, “Coffee” by Miguel. I do not remember how many hills, or what the temperature was at this point. I just know the last few miles were not easy, because I don’t like walking once it gets dark. My finishing time is better than last week’s session, so I am happy about that. These 40 miles are no joke! Getting as close to 8 hours as possible is going to take practice. For the time being I am only able to practice once a week, unless I have an extra day off. So I will just prepare for next week’s session! Following this post will be a “Fuel” and “Leg Progress” post! I hope followers are doing well! I hope y’all had a nice Thanksgiving! Thank you for continuing to keep up with this superheroic fitness journey! I will see y’all next week!
