The 57th day of #WalkForever training! Day 1: Complete 25 miles before 11 a.m. 🏃‍♂️

Hey, y’all! It has been two weeks since my last #WalkForever post. Last week I was in Asheville, North Carolina. I did do A LOT of walking while I was there but I didn’t track anything because I wanted to focus more on taking in the area itself. Now, fast forward to Thursday of this week. I wake up at 3 in the morning! I checked the temperature to see that it would be a high of 81 degrees! 😯 That is the coolest it has been in a while! However I still planned on finishing the walk by 11 in the morning, until summer is officially over. I prepared my fuel and left for the walk at a quarter to 5 in the morning. (This is later than I planned on leaving but it did make the walk more of challenge with the 11 a.m. deadline.) *Walking shoes are starting to show wear amd tear but are still functioning well.* *Water consumption was good* *No flare ups from past injuries during this walk.* The first 10 miles was kicked off with “Milkshake” by Kelis! The combination of that song and Celsius really got me going! The pace was exceptional until I noticed a loose dog walking in someone’s yard. It gave me slight anxiety and that mixed with all the excitement I was feeling caused my skin to react negatively. I had to slow down for a few minutes before picking up the pace again. I walked up a total of 10 hills during this set. The breeze outside was also amazing! The second 10 miles was a good pace but I had to keep taking breaks because I was getting hungry! I walked up a total of 8 hills during this set. The final 5 miles was kicked off with “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles. At 4 hours and 17 minutes on my tracker, I walked 20.50 miles with an average pace of 12.32! The temperature was only at 70 degrees at this time! Now I did take another break to get more fuel, so at 11 in the morning my walking distance was 24.50 miles. I completed 25 miles 6 minutes after 11. So, while I didn’t complete the goal for the day, it was close nonetheless. The 57th day of #WalkForever training continued in Day 2…
