The 56th day of #WalkForever training! Day 1: Complete 25 miles before 11 a.m. 🏃‍♂️

Hey, y’all! It is time for more #WalkForever training! I woke up at 2 in the morning and was officially ready to start about a quarter after 4. (I can never seem to leave exactly at 4, can I?) I decided to try something a little differently this week and take notes on my writing app during the walk. I usually just try to remember how the overall walk went but there are certain instances I have a hard time recalling. *Walking shoes are still functioning properly.* *Water consumption for this walk was good.* “The Look” by Roxette kicked off the first 10 miles! This song is a blast to walk to! It had me start running for the first couple of minutes. I walked up a total of 5 hills during this set of the walk. *I had to stop to stretch out my right leg a couple times because of a past injury.* This set went smoothly for the most part. *The pace was steady and quick* “Go, Go Power Rangers!” – The most motivating song for the second 10 miles! I walked up a total of 4 hills during this set of the walk. I checked the weather and there wasn’t any “Heat Advisory Warning” but there was a high of 93 degrees. At 9:34 in the morning, I walked 22 miles with UV radiation being at a moderate level. The final 5 miles for the day was spent walking in as much shade as I could find. I did take a stop at the grocery store before completing 25 miles at exactly 10:49 in the morning! The 56th day of #WalkForever training will be continued in Day 2! 🏃‍♂️
