The 51st day of #WalkForever training Day 1 & 2 ðŸƒâ€â™‚️

Hey, y’all! This post is lonnnnnnng overdue! Apologies for being so late with this training update. I, unfortunately, wasn’t able to do this last week because it literally rained all day on Thursday! So, it was pushed to yesterday. Now, I decided to do things a little differently since I haven’t been able to do this as frequently as I would like to lately. I decided to split the walk and do a certain amount on Thursday and Friday. Since it is officially summer the heat is not holding up for anyone. I Training officially started on Thursday morning around 5 in the morning. I thought I was doing a pretty good pace for the first 10 miles. I was already sweating heavily despite starting early. I didn’t check my tracker until I was in the middle of the second 10 miles. Around that time the heat was building and I wasn’t going as fast as I would’ve like to. I ended up stopping close to the 20 mile mark and holding off until Friday morning. I ended up leaving closer to 8 in the morning this time. The pace for the third 10 miles was actually the same as the second set the previous day. I was going much slower than usual. I managed to finish the rest of the walk by the middle of noon. According to the times of both days, it took me over 8 hours to complete the walk. 😳 That is not my best whatsoever. I will admit that on both days the temperature was in the 90s and doing any fitness routines outside in heat isn’t easy. Since my schedule is still stable right now, I can try again next week. If the temperature is anything like this week, I may end up using this method again. I don’t have a “fuel” photo accompanying this post but I do have “leg progress”! I appreciate those still following this superheroic fitness journey. I hope y’all are moving, despite how hot it may or may not be! See you all next week! 🏃‍♂️
