The Moving Body

The 39th day of #WalkForever training wasn’t the fastest, but another 30 miles completed! 😁 Part 1 of 2

Happy Tuesday, y’all! I apologize for this post being later than usual. Training update is as follows… SO, I WAS DETERMINED TO LEAVE EVEN EARLIER THAN I DID ON MY LAST TRAINING SESSION. Despite the fact that I wasn’t able to sleep the previous night for some reason, I wanted to leave by 7 in the morning. My app had notified me that there was going to be maintenance at 2 in the afternoon, so I used that as a point to be finished. I had water, pumpkin seeds and cold pressed juice. It was slightly breezy throughout the day so I was able to wear a hoodie for most of the walk. The first 10 miles were good. I did notice that I wasn’t going as fast as the previous session but was still moving. The second 10 miles were steady as well. Both sets were done within the same area. From the recent training sessions, most of the walking done here was in a small circle. The final 10 miles was where the walking progressed further but I was getting slower. According to the app, I was going to finish about a quarter after 2 and slower than my last training session. Yet, I wasn’t too bothered about finishing with a slower time because it was so beautiful outside. The fitness of this is important to me but also the “art” of it as well. Regardless, I am going to keep walking no matter what. So I am going to see how Thursday’s training session goes, and determine how many more I am going to have before moving on to 35 mile walks! I appreciate those following this superheroic fitness journey. I hope y’all continue to move and never stop! Part 2 is another leg progress photo! 🙂
