Happy #WalkForever Tuesday!!! Today was such a tenacious day for doing these 30 miles but the update is as follows… I WOKE UP WITH SO MUCH ENERGY AND DETERMINATION TO GET THIS WALK IN! Before I left, I made myself some toast and had a protein shake. Despite how cold it was outside, I kept it pushing and pushing. It may have also been due to the fact that the sun was shining, that my energy level was holding up pretty nicely too. (I always appreciate beautiful weather on these long journey strolls.) So, I kept moving and letting Spotify do its best to bless me with music to aid the walk. I do not know why it is so hard for me to find, or create, a Playlist that consistently gives me that extra “push” when I am moving. (Eh. Lol) So, around the 18th or 19th mile, I actually started to go faster! I’m determined now to do 30 miles as close to 6 hours as possible.π¦΅Once I made it to the 21st mile, I did feel my legs start to get slower so I took more protein and kept pushing. After a couple miles, I felt myself going slower so I decided to check my tracker, and to my surprise I was going much, much slower. Yet, something didn’t add up. I decided to walk some more and stopped once more to check the tracker again. To my horror, the mile counter stopped recording at 23 miles and I didn’t know exactly for how long either. π€ I was immediately frustrated. After all this time in the cold and how good I had been feeling all day, only for this to happen? I couldn’t believe it. I decided to call it a day. It sucks I wasn’t to meet my goal today but I’m not giving up. This just means I will have to try again on Thursday! Until #WalkForever Thursday comes along, I appreciate you all following this fitness journey. I hope you all never stop moving and moving. π
