The Moving Body

The 28th Day of #WalkForever (30 mile style) training was literally almost completed!!!

Happy #WalkForever Tuesday!!! Today has been magical for training. Training update is as follows… You know, I probably said this before but the weather is so unpredictable. I was looking forward to it being warmer today because my weather app said it would be in the 60s. Yet it was literally chilly all day! I cannot wait until springtime so I can walk in shorts again! As for today’s walk, I started by walking, for the first couple of miles, to the nearest postal service to mail some things. After that, I decided to get some fuel. Now, I ran out of my vegan protein shakes and wanted something to hold me over until another order arrived. That item to hold me over was the vanilla version of Muscle Milk. NEVER. AGAIN. EW. From just one sip alone I could taste nothing but chemicals. 🤮 (For those that like Muscle Milk, all power to you.) Anyway, I decided to change my route again today. I was trying my best to refrain from walking on grass and stick to sidewalks as much as possible. It is getting to a point where I’m mostly walking on sidewalks, but sometimes i walk in the bike lane due to elders also walking and being cautious of COVID-19. Also, for some reason, my body was much more “tired” for some reason. It seemed to take more effort than usual for me to move. I’m not sure if it is “seasonal depression” everyone talks about around this time of year, or I’m just not giving my body enough food. (Lol) Despite the fact that I’ve changed shoes, hasn’t changed the slight injuries the previous shoes gave me. The new shoes are definitely helping, but I’m going to have to go slower than usual until my legs are back to full form. And the reason why I said today was magical, was because I listened to Harry Potter audio books throughout the walk! Listening to the characters and walking through trails and paths almost made me feel like I was in the story. It definitely gave me some much needed adrenaline at times, especially when walking up hills for the last couple of miles! Which brings us to when the tracker just stopped when I was so close to 30 miles!!! It is okay though. There is always time to try again. And that is exactly what I intend to do! I shall post another update on Thursday. I appreciate you all following this fitness journey. I hope you all never stop moving and moving some more. 🙂

Music and/or Audio books that aided this journey: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
