Happy Thursday!!! Today was a great day to get outside and do some #WalkForever training. Training update is as follows… I FINALLY HAVE MY REEBOKS BACK, BABY! Oh goodness, the difference is almost immediate once I am in the groove! My feet feel so supported and I can walk fast without having to put too much effort. Despite the slight injuries my legs endured with the previous shoes, these shoes enabled my feet to push through regardless. It did not matter what form of terrain I was on, I was good. SHOES ARE EVERYTHING when it comes to cardio training. (Well, shoes matter when you’re training period.) Seriously. Today was my first time walking two routes that I usually only do in one day. This is due to the amount of hills my legs have to walk up and down. Walking up hills is great for strengthening your thighs and glutes, but it does require a good amount of endurance and pacing. I have to admit that halfway though the journey, the fatigue was coming on strong. I actually had to take a 5-10 minute break! I really do put my legs through hell. For the rest of the walk it seemed almost dangerous to stop for a break, because my legs would go into rest mode. (Lol) I am not sure how long I’m going to allow my legs to become accustomed to walking 30 miles, but I will see how the next month goes. I shall post another #WalkForever update next week! I appreciate you all following this fitness journey. I hope you all never stop moving. 🙂
